The Gulper Sedge.

This was an accidental discovery in 2016 that took Loch Borralie apart for a week in August. The secret to this pattern is the wing being tied down at the back. This gives you a very low-riding fly that gives off a super outline from underneath and makes the perfect fly for tweaking over the surface when the sedges are out. Trust me, if it fooled the trout in Borralie, it will fool anything! A super easy fly to tie and one that I am ever so happy to show you. Try it out, you won't be disappointed!
